How To Access Messages

On your messages page, you will be able to see messages that were sent to you (Incoming) as well as those that you sent (Sent).

 

For incoming messages, you will see the subject of the message, the sender, your name as the receiver, the date and time it was sent, whether or not the message was viewed and the operations you would wish to take (delete).

To send a private message or view previous messages:

  1. Tap the menu icon Image result for hamburger icon in the top left corner of your screen.
  2. Scroll down and tap My Messages.

To view a message(incoming or sent):

  1. Tap either the "Incoming or "Sent" button to select the type of message you want to view.

  2. Identify the message you want to read and then click subject.

To send a new message option 1:

  1. Tap the "New Message" button.
  2. Enter the Name/s of the Recipient/s. You can only send messages to your classmates and teachers. Begin typing their name and then select their name when you see the full name appear from the suggested names.
  3. Enter a Subject for your message.
  4. Type your message
  5. You may add an attachment as well. You do this by selecting the "Choose File" button, then selecting the file you wish to add as your attachment.
  6. Tap Send Message when done.
To send a new message option 2:
  1. Select the subject from the stream page 
  2. Select the classmates tab
  3. You should see a list of persons in the class as well as the teacher, the Send Message button will beside their names select it 
  4. You will be redirected to the message page 

You can delete a message by clicking the delete icon beside the message you want to delete. N.B. This action cannot be undone.


You also have the option to filter your messages, which makes searching easier. Filter by typing a keyword in the search bar and pressing enter. 

 

 

1 - This section displays all the messages that you received

2-  This will display all the messages that you sent 
3 - This is the subject for the messages that you recieved 
4 - This is who sent you the message 
5 - This is the date the message was received 
6 - this is whether the message was viewed or not 
7 - This is where the option to delete the message can be found
