Creating Content: Adding a Unit
- To add a unit to the course:
1. Click on the Add Content button.
2. Select Add unit, then:
i. Enter the name of the unit.
ii. Choose how the unit will be completed:
➤ With a button- the student will just have to press a button and the unit will be marked as complete.
➤ With a question- the student will have to answer a question to mark the unit as complete. The question will be chosen from existing tests in the course.
➤ After a period of time- the unit is automatically marked as complete after a period of time. The time will need to be entered in seconds. There is an option to pause the timer after some time.
➤ Automatic- the unit completed once the student has gone through it.
➤ None- the unit is not marked as complete.
iii. Choose the source of the unit:
➤ Editor- the content is typed in a text field.
➤ H5P Editor- the content is H5P content.
➤ URL- the link from the website must be pasted in the field.
➤ File- the document must be upload or selected from files and is downloadable after uploading.
iv. Enter the content or choose documents, as necessary.
v. Select Save.
➤ The unit is automatically previewed once it is saved.
➤ When previewing the unit, it can be edited by clicking the Edit unit button, or by clicking the arrow beside that button.
➤ The dropdown shows multiple options including deleting the unit.
