Release Notes

Introduction

This release document communicates the major new features, upgrades or enhancements for this release of Bahamas National Digital Education Platform (NDEP) as well as known issues, resolution status and the solution, if completed.

Environment

The production site of Bahamas National Digital Education Platform (NDEP), available to the public is currently accessible at https://bahamas.1on1lms.com/, and this is the site from which the known issues were first identified. The functionality described in this release document is also available at https://bahamas-oe.1on1staging.com/start where the new features and upgrades/enhancements will first be implemented and upon approval pushed to production.

System Requirements

Upgrades/Enhancements  

1. Teachers are now able to switch between gradesbooks.
   
2. The "class grade" is now added beside the subject name on the subject dropdown (For example: Mathematics - Grade3 ).
   
3. The "Manage gradebook" button is now on the top right hand corner of the gradebook)
   
4. The "Manage gradebook" button only shows the assignments/tests for the specific class a teacher is viewing the gradebook for
   
5. "Available until" is now mandatory.
   
6. Grade status verbiage is changed from "incomplete" to "exempted"
   
7. Default verbiage on the "all courses" dropdown on the manage gradebook page is now "All Classes"

New Features

1.  Teachers now select the "grade type" (Homework, Class Assignments, Quizzes/Tests and Exam Grade) when creating a test or an assignment in the LMS. This will add the assessment to correct category in the gradebook.
   
2. Teachers now have the option to "include in calculations" when creating a test or assignment. The default option selected is "No".
   
3.  When a teacher selects "Yes" for "include in calculations", when creating a test or assessment. The assessment will be calculated towards the category's final grade.
   
4. When a teacher selects the "No" for "include in calculation", when creating a test or assessment. The assessment will be excluded from the category's final grade.
   
5. Assessments that are excluded" will be "grayed out" on the gradebook with the verbiage "excluded" under the assessment tile.
   
6. Teachers can now set a "due date" for assignments and tests.
   
7. When a teacher sets a due date for an assignment or a test. The due date is shown beside the assessment on the students' class stream page.
   
8.  Teachers can now enter grades for assessments that are not auto-marked by the LMS.
   
9.  Grades are sent over in real-time to EMIS once an update is made.
   

Big Fixes

1. Teachers will now see students name in the attendance table and will be able to mark subject attendance in the LMS.
