Getting Started: Working with the Discussion Board
The discussion board is where you can have discussions with your students online. The discussion starts when the teacher chooses a topic and the students are able to comment and reply. The Discussion Board has a list of all of the sections in the Class Stream with the number of topics that are being discussed in that lesson.
To Access the Discussion Board
1. Select the subject on the class stream page
2. Select the icon beside "Lesson Kits" a list will appear with "Discussion Board" being an option. You can click on it to be taken to the the page.
3. On the "Discussion Board" Page you will be able to see past discussions and the option to delete them as well as start a new discussion. You are able to start a new discussion topic by clicking the "Start New Discussion" button. You are also able to delete the topic by clicking the "Delete" button under the specific topic.
NOTE: If You Choose To Delete A Previous Discussion This Cannot Be Undone
4. You can also select the topic which allows allows you to view all the posts within the topic. You are able to delete, edit and reply to all posts within the discussion topic as well as make a new post by:
- Scrolling to the botton of the board.
- Typing your message.
- Clicking the "Post" button.
- You are also able to upload a photo to your discussion post, by clicking the "Upload" button.
5. Once you select "Start New Discussion" the following will pop up and you will be prompted to enter the a name for the discussion, a message and the option to upload a file. Once you have filled in these option select "ADD" for the discussion to be created.
